Like many others, Susan Robards’ rich and varied life has contributed to her personal and professional success. Studying classical voice on a university music scholarship in Houston, living in Manhattan for 12 years, relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area to attend law school, and working various careers paths have exposed her to diverse populations and enhanced her ability to gracefully navigate a wide variety of challenges.
Susan found her true passion in real estate, when she began buying and selling investment property. As both a buyer and a seller, she gained enormous information about the ever-changing California real estate market. Susan soon determined that sharing the benefits of investing in real estate and using her expertise to help clients become property owners was a career change that made sense for her.
Susan joined Keller Williams Realty (KW) in 2004—a brokerage with a stellar reputation for providing the very best training for new agents. She spent 5 years at KW learning her craft as a sales associate. This education proved invaluable. She became one of the top producers in her Piedmont Avenue office in Oakland. As a result, she was asked to serve on the KW Associate Leadership Council for two years in a row—an honor reserved for top-producing agents who have shown proven leadership.
By 2009, Susan was gaining recognition in the East Bay real estate community. Part of this recognition came from her service as 2009 Treasurer, then 2010 Secretary on the Executive Board for the East Bay Chapter of Women’s Council of Realtors®, a national organization. Subsequently, several firms sought to recruit her, including McGuire RE. In March, 2010 Susan joined McGuire RE because she was convinced of its superiority among all other brokerages in the area and because she knew it was the next best step in her developing career.
As a McGuire Real Estate agent, her unique value proposition includes success in a multiplicity of environments, business savvy, communication and negotiating skills, on-going education, and an overriding objective to treat every client as if they are her only client.Brokerage Affiliations
