Born and raised in Texas, in 1978 Susan Robards left Houston for the Big Apple. For the next 12 years, she experienced the invigorating pace of arguably the world’s greatest city. A familiar line from the song “New York, New York” says: “If I can make it there, I'm gonna make it anywhere. . .” That is to say, the experience of living in New York, and subsequently California, prepared her to gracefully and powerfully negotiate life’s challenges, while working with and encountering some of the most diverse populations on the planet.
Susan started her own successful business in New York and at the same time earned a BA in psychology from Hunter College. During those years she developed strong customer service skills, allowing her to meet the expectations of a broad spectrum of clients.
In 1990, Susan came to California to attend Golden Gate University School of Law. While there she studied contracts, torts and property law. She then entered the world of corporate upper management, where she continued to hone customer service, entrepreneurial and legal abilities. In particular, she developed the negotiating, financial, and people skills to close deals, set priorities and manage projects.
During this time, Susan began a new journey: buying and selling investment property. As both a buyer and a seller, she learned an enormous amount of information about the ever-changing California real estate market. Based on these experiences, she determined that sharing the benefits of investing in real estate, while using her expertise to help others become property owners, could be the basis of a career change that made sense for her.
As a Keller Williams Realtor, Susan Robards’ unique value proposition includes success in a multiplicity of environments, business savvy, negotiating skills, relevant training and education. As Susan’s client, you will discover her overriding objective to treat every client as if they are her only client.
